Search Forum Home   Universal List  Universal List Version 4.x  Pre-load tables...  Pre-load tables    1/19/2009 12:41:10 PM dwallace 1 posts Pre-load tables I am interested in purchasing Universal List.  It looks look what I am looking for.  First I have two questions: I am planning on creating a table for alumni information.  I would like individuals to be able to add their own information or update their own information.  I would like to pre-populate the table with data that I already have in an Excel file. 1. I would like to assign the "Edit Own" action to my role "Alumni".  If I (superuser) create the original records though, the record won't be created with the id of the alumni registered user.  Is there a way to attach the username to the record so that when an alumni logs in, they will be able to edit their own pre-populated record even though they did not add the record? 2. How would I handle an alumni that isn't already in my spreadsheet.  I would like a new alumni to be able to register his or herself on the DotNetNuke site and then enter alumni information for his or herself.  Do I create two separate forms?  One for new alumni and one for existing alumni?
